2011 Ford Focus
The Focus is Ford’s compact sedan that offers a dynamic design both inside and out. Featuring a sleek exterior and a technology filled interior, the Focus offers plenty of standard and optional amenities. With four different trim options, drivers have the ability to choose the Focus that suits them, whether it is fun, sporty or luxurious.
The 2011 Ford Focus is available in four trim levels: S, SE, SES, and SEL. The base S comes standard with air conditioning, eco-friendly cloth seats, power locks, keyless entry, four-speaker stereo system with CD player, and 15-inch steel wheels. The SE adds power windows, satellite radio and 15-inch alloy wheels. The SES includes a unique sporty exterior with blacked-out chrome and decklid spoiler. Also added on the SES are ambient interior lighting, leather wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, SYNC connectivity system, fog lamps, and 17-inch premium pained aluminum wheels. The SEL adds luxurious features to the Focus. Leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, chrome exterior accents such as side-mirror skull caps and door handles, and 16-inch alloy wheels all come standard on the SEL.
The Focus is powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that outputs 140 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the S, SE, and SES. A four-speed automatic is optional on those models and is standard on the SEL. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 24 mpg city and 33 mpg highway with the automatic. The manual transmission increases the highway number to 35 mpg.
Numerous safety features come standard on the 2011 Ford Focus. These features include stability control, anti-lock brakes, dual front air bags, side impact airbags, side curtain airbags, passenger detection system, belt reminder system and a tire pressure monitoring system. Also standard is Ford’s programmable MyKey system. This system helps parents promote safe driving habits by giving them the ability to specify speed limits and stereo loudness for their teenage drivers. The Focus earned a rating of ‘Good’ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the frontal-offset crash test.
The Focus’ interior is impressive with its user-friendly cabin, comfortable seats, and upscale interior. High quality materials are used throughout the cabin and acoustical components allow for a quiet riding environment. 60/40 split folding rear seats allow for more cargo space while still providing enough room for a backseat passenger. The eye-catching Focus exterior features sleek and dynamic styling with grooves in the hood that give the look of movement.
Several optional technologies and packages are available on the 2011 Ford Focus. SYNC, Ford’s connectivity system, which is standard on the SES and SEL and optional on the SE, allows drivers to stay connected to the world while in the car. Different SYNC features include hands-free calls, voice control commands, traffic and direction information, audible test messages, Vehicle Health Report, and 911 Assist. The optional high performance premium audio system includes a 190-watt system with a CP/MP3 player, eight speakers and a subwoofer. The SE also offers an Appearance Package that gives the model stylish 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and a decklid spoiler.
The 2011 Ford Focus is a well rounded sedan that offers an unbeatable value.
